Kearney Dominates GI on the RoadPosted:
Kearney High School took the Rowdies on the road to watch their wrestling team dominate the Islanders of Grand Island 65-9 in their final regular season dual. The Bearcats accumulated 7 pins, 1 technical fall, and 2 forfeit wins.

Dual action started at 132 pounds, #1 rated Nick James picked up a technical fall Colton Sliva. Grand Island responded with a second period pin at 138 pounds by number one ranked Zach Kuta. Kearney then rolled of nine wins in a row including six pins. Grand Island picked up a decision victory at 113 pounds. This was followed by a Phillip Moomey pin at 120 pounds and a forfeit win at 126 pounds for Gauge McBride.

The Bearcats are back in action this weekend at home for the Greater Nebraska Athletic Conference. This is their last regular season meet. Districts is also hosted at Kearney High School on February 11th.
