Kearney High School finished as the class A state runner up at the NSAA dual championships. The Bearcats entered the tournament as the second seed. They defeated Norfolk in the opening round, Grand Island in the semifinals and fell to Millard South in the championship final.

The JV Bearcats finished up their season placing 5th at GICC between 17 teams. The Bearcats had six individual medalists in a very stacked tournament with some of the best class B and C schools in the state.
Kearney High School finished as the GNAC conference runner up. The Bearcats finished with 210 points behind champion Columbus who had 238. All 14 wrestlers for Kearney placed in the top 4 in this tournament.
